US Census forms will soon start showing up in Michigan mailboxes.
The 10 line questionnaires will be mailed out March 15th. The forms are due back April 1st. After that, Census workers will start visiting people who didn't mail back the forms.
Kim Hunter is the Michigan spokesman for the US Census. He says they're training Michigan census workers now for those in-person meetings.
"There are a lot of crucial steps in how the resident is approached in a professional, courteous manner," says Hunter.
Data collected by the US Census will determine Michigan's representation in Congress and how much federal aid local communities receive. © Copyright 2012, Michigan Radio
