Biden Visits Michigan, Says Stimulus Is Working
The chemical processing plant was a fitting backdrop, since it uses Recovery Act dollars to re-train displaced Michigan workers.
Biden says it's programs like the one at Delta College that will help pull the country out of the ditch and ensure that the U.S. has the biggest engine in the world:
"The President said it in his State of the Union," explains Biden. "Second place is not an option for us."
Michigan has received more than $11.5 billion worth of stimulus money. The Governor's office says that has helped create or keep roughly 42 thousand jobs in the state.
Biden is one of dozens of White House officials crisscrossing the country in an effort to tout the success of the Recovery Act, which was passed a year ago.
