Lining Up To See Palin GRAND RAPIDS, MI (Michigan Radio) - Sarah Palin is in Grand Rapids this evening for the first stop on her book tour.

Palin is scheduled to start signing books at 6 p.m. But people started lining up for the event yesterday.

By this afternoon, many were in a festive mood. Some wore balloon hats while they sat in their folding chairs.

And there was at least one Obama supporter in the mix.

Amanda Brunzell is from Kentwood.

"I actually interned on the Obama campaign for eight months," she says. "My father is a member of the GOP and he is at work today, so being the good daughter that I am, I decided to stand in line for him."

Brunzell says she managed to make friends with the Palin supporters. She says there's more commonality between them than differences.
