Lawmakers in Lansing say they're preparing the final pieces necessary to compete for federal school-reform dollars.
The state House Education Committee took testimony this morning from state Superintendent Michael Flanagan.
The state Senate Education Committee is expected to begin voting this afternoon on bills required to be competitive for the federal funds. Leading lawmakers from both chambers say the Legislature must pass major school reforms before the end of the year.
