Photographing Home in the Midsts of a Housing Crisis

ANN ARBOR, MI (Michigan Radio) - This week, Michigan Radio is airing a new series of reports about how people are using foreclosed spaces. It's part of our "Facing the Mortgage Crisis" series.

As a complement to the series, our new Michigan Radio Picture Project features photographs by Austin Hermann.

His photos illustrate the state's housing crisis. Many of them are of people and their homes in the Detroit area. And some are of homes and businesses that've been abandoned.

He speaks with Michigan Radio's Christina Shockley.
