Deep Cuts for Education in Michigan ANN ARBOR, MI (Michigan Radio) - Yesterday we learned that the state legislature is proposing a cut to the K-12 Budget of $218 per student. A few weeks ago we aired an interview about school funding in the state. The thrust of that interview was that K-12 spending would remain relatively steady this year because of the cushion provided by federal stimulus dollars. That is not the case.
