Deep Cuts for Education in Michigan
ANN ARBOR, MI
(Michigan Radio) -
Yesterday we learned that the state legislature is proposing a cut to the K-12 Budget of $218 per student. A few weeks ago we aired an interview about school funding in the state. The thrust of that interview was that K-12 spending would remain relatively steady this year because of the cushion provided by federal stimulus dollars. That is not the case. Michigan Radio's Charity Nebbe talks about the cuts with Jeff Williams, a Senior Vice President at Public Sector Consultants in Lansing.
