$27 Million for 27 Michigan Cities
The money announced Tuesday comes through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant program.
Detroit will get about $10 million in the latest round of funding, and about $10 million will go to state departments.
Ann Arbor, Benton Harbor, Dearborn, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Lansing, Livonia, Macomb County, Monroe, Muskegon, Niles, Oakland County, Portage, Saginaw, Southfield, St. Clair Shores and Washtenaw County are among those getting far smaller grants.
