A Self Milking Cow?
When they feel a need to release milk, the cows step into the system and it uses laser monitors to position suction cups over their teats.
The dairy's many other cow-friendly features include in-pen water beds, treat dispensers, automatic manure scrapers and rotary back scratchers.
The 94-cow dairy is at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station in Kalamazoo County's Ross Township, about 50 miles west-southwest of the school's main East Lansing campus.
