Reeves Fails in Bid for 2nd Term
ANN ARBOR, MI
(Michigan Radio) -
A small group of supporters sat with Reeves at her downtown campaign headquarters.
But when the returns began to roll in, it quickly became clear that voters resoundingly rejected Reeves' bid for a second term.
Reeves says she's not disappointed, and say her heart remains in Detroit.
"I chose to stay here because there's a job needing done, there's a concern here, and if we unite as a city, and everybody work together, Detroit can be the place it was when Motown's music brought it back alive," Reeves says. "It's a good place to be."
Reeves was the only one of six incumbents who will not participate in the general election.
