Governor Granholm leaves Monday on a trade mission to Europe.

The governor is traveling to Germany and Belgium to talk to business leaders about locating some of their operations in Michigan.

This is the governor's 8th economic trade mission overseas since 2004 and her fourth trip to Germany. The governor's office claims those previous trips to Germany resulted in nearly a half billion dollars of investment in Michigan, saving to creating 7 thousand jobs.

Other trade missions have taken the governor to the Middle East, Asia and other parts of Europe. © Copyright 2012, Michigan Radio
