Ford Sales Show Signs of Improvement
Ford's car and truck sales numbers were down in June, but not as much as in recent months.
The Dearborn automaker reported car and truck sales were down nearly 11% in June compared to a year ago.
But that decline is an improvement over the first five months of the year, when Ford saw sales drop by 37%.
George Pippas is Ford's US Sales Analyst. He says there are signs the market is improving.
"There were actually some regions of the country, where we saw higher retail sales than a year ago," says Pippas.
General Motors will release its June sales numbers later this afternoon. GM is expected to post another 30% drop in car and truck sales. © Copyright 2009, Michigan Radio
