Developing the Next Generation of Car Batteries ANN ARBOR, MI (Michigan Radio) -

Car battery company Sakti3 is teaming with General Motors to get federal aid.

The Ann-Arbor based company hopes to secure a 30 million dollar grant to conduct research in battery technology. Ann Marie Sastry is the CEO and co-founder of Sakti3.

"We need to work with our partners to understand exactly what's needed in the vehicle up front," says Sastry, "That way we can actually benefit each other."
