(Michigan Radio) - Car racing fans who arrive for the first event on June 14th will find more comfortable grandstand seats, better signs to help them get around, and an easier experience for their ears.

"Our PA system is from 1968," says Roger Curtis, president of MIS. "It's the original system when the track was built, believe it or not, and we put in a phenomenal state-of-the-art system that is not only around the track, it's at the gates, in the restrooms, by the concessions and out in the midway."

Curtis says the speedway will also spend 17 million dollars to renovate its terrace suites and media center in the track's infield. Those improvements will be ready for the 2010 season.
