Silverdome Deal Vetoed
Plans to sell the Pontiac Silverdome have hit a speed bump.
Pontiac Mayor Clarence Phillips today vetoed the 20 million dollar deal.
The city council approved the deal with local developers earlier this month.
Phillips says he vetoed the deal because he has questions about whether the developers have the money to buy the aging football stadium.
"If you can't produce a financial statement, saying you have the dollars to purchase it, what are we...how are we going to deal with that," says Phillips.
The city council may have the votes needed to override the mayor's veto.
