April 14, 7:00PM-9:00PM

Humorist, author, and wildly popular NPR essayist David Sedaris visits Grand Rapids for one performance only on Sunday, April 14, featuring all new readings from his new book, "Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls" (available Late Spring 2013), and a book signing.

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, DAVID SEDARIS has become one of America's preeminent humor writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms & political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today. Sedaris is the author of the collections of personal essays "Naked," "Me Talk Pretty One Day," "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim," & "When You Are Engulfed in Flames," all of which have become bestsellers. Sedaris pieces appear regularly in The New Yorker & have twice been included in The Best American Essays. His most recent book, a collection of fables entitled "Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary" (with illustrations by Ian Falconer), was released in September 2010. His next book entitled "Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls" will be published in late Spring 2013.
