30 Minutes marks the beginning of the 5th Annual Migrant Trail: We Walk For Life with excerpts from a press conference held on Wednesday, May 21. Walkers on this 7 day 75 mile walk from Sasabe, Sonora, Mexico to Kennedy Park in Tucson, Arizona seek to call attention to the human rights crisis they say is occurring on our desert.
Supporters include the Migrant Trail Walk Committee, Coalicion de Derechos Humanos, Borderlinks, West Coast Central Mennonite Committee, Catholic Relief Services-Mexico Program, No More Deaths Tucson, 8th Day Center for Justice, Coloradans for Immigrant Rights, Frontera de Cristo, Humane Borders, American Friends Service Committee- Tucson, JPIC Office of the Santa Barbara Province Franciscans, Casa Maria, SOA Tucson, Witness for Peace- Mexico, Shalom Mennonite Fellowship and Church of the Good Shepherd.
Walkers conclude their journey on Sunday, June 1 at Kennedy Park at 11:30am.
