30 Minutes- Michael Shuman- Local First Part 1 30 Minutes explores the impacts of local businesses on local economies. by Amanda Shauger Earlier this month, Local First Arizona hosted economist Michael Shuman. He is the author of The Small-Mart Revolution which details dozens of specific strategies small and home based businesses are using to successfully out compete the world's largest companies. Michael Shuman is also the research director for BALLE- The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies.

Local First Arizona is a statewide nonpartisan association of local business owners working together to promote and celebrate sustainable Arizona businesses and to educate the public about the benefits of supporting local businesses.
