30 Minutes- Community Conversations
People from many faith traditions share a meal and their stories regularly in Tucson. Community Conversations, now in its 4th, year brings people together to share a vegetarian meal and listen to insights from a variety of faith traditions. Since much of the conflict in the world invokes religion as a justification for violence, Community Conversations provide an opportunity to invoke a sense of community, responsibility and healing for participants of peace.

The theme for October's presentation was "Freedom Stories: Understanding the Past Inspires Hope for the Future. 30 Minutes featured Civil Rights Veteran and Freedom Rider James Zwerg and Baha'i Ruby Jamshadhi.

The next Community Conversations takes place Thursday, January 28 at 6:30PM at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E Speedway. Contact Sat Bir Kaur Khalsa at khalsa@dakotacom.net or call 690-5715. More information is available on the Culture of Peace Alliance website.
