Arayah Larson is part of the Tucson Youth Crew from Every Voice In Action. Her group awarded 50,000 dollars to local nonprofits working with youth this spring. The Tucson Youth Crew focused on Activism for this round of grants.

In the second portion of the program, Finding Our Voice participant Balamani Mariana Madden describes her life as an Indian orphan and immigrant to the United States and she describes her volunteer work with the Iskash*taa Refugee Harvesting Network. Digital storytelling instructor Josh Schacter also describes Catalina Magnet High School based ESL program.

Tucson Youth Week includes the Community Youth Recognition Event, the Youth Activism Art & Media Showcase, school-based youth activism film screenings, and Global Youth Service Day, as well as a poetry contest and a call to youth artists. Tucson Youth Week will be held from Saturday, April 25 through Friday, May 1, 2009.
