Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis) is one of the most beautiful drought hardy native trees found in the southwest. There are so many cultivars found in the nursery trade, but don't forget it does grow out in the wild too, so have fun with a colorful selection, but plant a local native one as well. I think the local pollinators will appreciate that.
