SAGCC celebrates its one year anniversary and their new downtown location; Sustainable Tucson continues to provide avenues for education and participation. On Thursday, April 14 the Southern Arizona Green Chamber of Commerce (SAGCC) celebrated their one year anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their new downtown location 44 W. Broadway. Local business people and dignitaries were on hand for the festivities.

30 Minutes featured excerpts from the presentation. UA Lutheran campus minister (ELCA) and author Ron Rude led with an invocation. He wrote Abel Emerging: A Reconsideration of the Christian Story for a Sustainable World. SAGCC President Melissa Black described the advances made by the Green Chamber this past year. Mayor Bob Walkup and Councilwoman Shirley Scott spoke about the climate in Tucson for solar and sustainability. Gabrielle Giffords aid Amanda Saper spoke on behalf of the Congresswoman.

Local Architect Ron Proctor discussed the six year history of Sustainable Tucson and their current projects during an in studio interview.
