30 Minutes- Norman Finkelstein
Why is there a blockade of Gaza? Much has been reported and unreported on the recent attempt by a humanitarian aid flotilla to break the blockade of Gaza where Israeli troops subsequently killed nine people and detained hundreds more before deporting them in Operation Sea Breeze.

But why is there an Israeli Blockade of Gaza? 30 Minutes features remarks made by scholar Norman Finkelstein. He spoke recently at the University of Arizona at a talk which was sponsored by Students for Justice in Palestine, Voices of Opposition, and the Middle East and North Africa Student Organization.

He describes the current political climate in the Middle East as well as taking a look at the 2006 Palestinian elections and other events which led to the publication of his newest book "This Time We Went to Far: Truth and Consequences of the Gaza Invasion."
