Blumenthal is a writing fellow at the Nation Institute and also plays second drums for Tucson band Golden Boots when he is in town.

Blumenthal was the featured speaker at a recent "Drinking Liberally" gathering in Tucson where he outlined his new book -Republican Gomorrah: Inside The Movement That Shattered The Party.
