30 Minutes- 13 Humanitarians Cited for Littering Federal Officials Remove Water from BANWR
Local humanitarian volunteers were ticketed when they placed gallon jugs of water on the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge. Federal agents ticketed 13 humanitarian volunteers for placing sealed gallon jugs of water along migrant trails on the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge, on Thusday, July 9.

Last month, a federal jury convicted Walter Staton of "knowingly littering" when he placed water on the refuge in December. No More Deaths sent a letter to Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge Manager Michael Hawkes and other federal officials including Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar requesting a meeting to discuss ways to work together to eliminate the death and suffering of migrants on the refuge.
