Flowing Wells High SchoolI do not live by the philosophy that everybody should have the same things as others or that we are obligated to an equal standard of living. But I do believe that no one has the right to bar me or anyone else from having equal opportunities. . To me the greatest tragedy of our country's history of segregation has not been the occurrence of burning crosses or violent riots, but rather the forgotten potential of millions lost to the stifling silence of prejudice and fear.
