Educational Access: Is this the equal opportunity Martin Luther King Jr. was referring to? by Nicholas Piņon, 16. Cholla Magnet High School My family has filed for bankruptcy twice in my lifetime. That means I'm going to have to work twice as hard as the average person to pay my way through college. Is this the equal opportunity Martin Luther King Jr. was referring to? How can it be when people that don't even want to be in college go simply because they have the money?
