Dahr Jamail describes current conditions on the ground in Iraq. by Amanda Shauger Independent Journalist Dahr Jamail returned to Tucson to address the Voices of Opposition series at the University of Arizona in May. He has been reporting on Iraq since 2003 when he became fed up with the main stream media and decided to see for himself what was happening on the ground in Iraq. He has spent 8 months in country, most recently in February 2009.

He is the author of Beyond the Green Zone and his work regularly appears at truthout.org.
