She recounted the importance of independent local community media and she described some of the every day heroes that she has met.

Amy Goodman speaks in Tucson at 6:00pm Sunday, April 26 in a benefit for KXCI and Access Tucson at the Turquoise Ballroom of the Tucson Convention Center. She is the co-author, along with her brother David Goodman of Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times.
