This simple melody wouldn't go away after I sang about the doggies and horses being hungry. I had to finish it, I guess, and what better time than Valentine's Day.

By the way, Arctostaphylos pungens is blooming as you read this. A hike in the chapparal above the desert floor to see the beautiful small flowers may be just the thing to do with your lover.
