Growing Native With Petey Mesquitey- Nightshade Pontification “Oh, why do I think this will become a radio show?” she said. by Petey Mesquitey Well, this is a show that my daughter Sarah predicted would happen when she asked me about nightshades. "Oh, why do I think this will become a radio show?" she said when I started to pontificate. Am I that transparent?
We are surrounded by plants in Solanceae, the Nightshade family; in our gardens, in the grocery store and best of all, in the desert. Silverleaf nightshade is worth knowing just so you can say the botanical name Solanum eleagnifolium. See what I mean.
