Growing Native With Petey Mesquitey- Angel Trumpets What a great time to get out and explore without fear of heat stroke. by Petey Mesquitey A note from an old friend got me thinking about the Sonoran Desert and all the wonderful plants that I'm still learning from that beautiful desert.
Spring comes early to the Sonoran Desert, so just because you're still walking around with a jacket on doesn't mean things aren't happening in the desert around you. And what a great time to get out and explore without fear of heat stroke.
Acleisanthes longiflora is very cool plant that I learned on a hike with Richard Felger on the Cabeza Prieta. How cool is that?! I hope somebody still grows it.
