(St. Louis Public Radio) -
Ten tigers from an animal sanctuary in Missouri that closed after a volunteer was mauled are at their new home in Colorado. The cats arrived Sunday. The Serenity Springs Wildlife Center in Calhan will receive a total of 15 tigers from Wesa-A-Geh-Ya in Warrenton.
The center closed after a volunteer lost part of his leg in a tiger attack last month. That tiger was killed.
Serenity Springs staff plan to return to Missouri next weekend for more tigers. Other sanctuaries also accepted animals from Wesa-A-Geh-Ya.
