Amanda Jones, 26, was nine months pregnant in August of 2005 when she told her mother she was going to meet Bryan Lee Westfall, the man she said was her child's father.

Authorities had considered Westfall a person of interest in the case. But Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer said there are no clues that point to Westfall or anyone else as a suspect.

"It's very difficult to develop a case, especially in what we believe is probably going to be a murder case, without any physical evidence," Boyer said. "We need somebody to give us that little piece of information."

Westfall has told authorities Amanda Jones was alive when he last saw her in Hillsboro on August 14, 2005.

However Jones' parents, Bertha and Hubert Propst, believe Westfall is responsible for their daughter's disappearance. © Copyright 2009, St. Louis Public Radio
