Five design teams left in Arch grounds competition
A jury whittled the group down from nine.
The teams will present their plans to the public August 17 and a final decision will be announced September 24.
Jefferson National Expansion Memorial superintendant Tom Bradley says the winning design must meet a lot of goals, including bringing together the downtown and Arch.
The public can meet the teams April 28th at an event at Roberts Orpheum Theater downtown.
The teams include:
-Behnisch Team led by Behnisch Architekten Stuttgart, Germany, Los Angeles
-MVVA Team led by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates New York City
-PWP Landscape Architecture, Foster + Partners, Civitas Berkeley, CA
-SOM, Hargreaves, BIG Chicago
-Weiss/Manfredi, Architecture/Site Design/Urbanism New York
