Wash U professor makes TIME's 100

(St. Louis Public Radio) - A Washington University professor has made TIME Magazine's list this year of the world's 100 most influential people.

Michael Sherraden is a Professor of Social Work and the founder and director of the Brown School's Center for Social Development.

He's best-known for encouraging saving and investing among the poor, called "asset building."

St. Louis Public Radio's Maria Altman spoke with Professor Sherraden about his work and what it's like to be called one of the world's most influential people.
