Clewell Named Missouri's 2nd Poet Laureate
"The idea for me is just to remind people that poetry is something that's down to earth and full of life and remind people how much that can matter."
Crewell says one of his goals is to bring poetry to inmates across the state. He's replacing Missouri's first poet laureate, Walter Bargen of Ashland.
