Missouri Congressman Russ Carnahan is accusing the various tea party groups who are disrupting town-hall events across the country of trying to hijack the American system of government.6 people, including a Post Dispatch reporter were arrested last night at a town hall forum on aging that was hosted by Carnahan.
Carnahan says Republicans are playing a political game, by encouraging fringe groups to disrupt public events like last nights meeting.
Too many there, showed up with no intention to give respect to anyone. Their purpose was to disrupt to, was to prevent people from having a civil discussion. They wanted to stop it completely.
After the event union members got into a scuffle with protestors sending one man to the emergency room.
