PsyOp soldiers wage 'battle for hearts and minds' in Iraq

(St. Louis Public Radio) -
Since the war in Iraq began, the U.S. military has tried to establish peace by promoting a western system of democratic governance and civic responsibility.null
But for many Iraqis, the reality of their history and daily lives pushes them away from the systems the military wants them to adopt.
Psychological Operations, or Psy-Op, specialists are the Army's front-line soldiers in the battle for hearts and minds.
KWMU's Adam Allington is in Iraq with the 10th PsyOp Battalion and sent us this report.
