Infrastructure Project Funding
Athens city officials have entered multiple projects for consideration.
City Street Director Andrew Stone says this includes street projects that he wants to get rolling.
Stone's main concern is the slip on Grosvenor Street, which has been progressing since the 1980s.
Stone says repair projects for West Union Street and Lancaster Street are also on the list.
A Meigs county initiative to bring health care services back to the area also awaits money from the federal economic stimulus bill.
Meigs officials have a plot of land and preliminary design ready to build a stand-alone emergency room in Pomeroy.
The emergency room would stabilize critical care patients until they could be transferred to a larger facility.
