Del Shores, Jason Dotley at SCCT's Sordid Lives

Robinson Scott: Hand Blown Glass Sculptures and Vessels

Minnesota glass artist Robinson Scott is passionate about the process that is involved in the work he makes. To this glass-blower, his fluid, colorful creations are just a beautiful reward to his process.

Literary Salon: Andy Stallings

Stallings has been in residence at Iowa Lakeside Lab since the beginning of March, working on his manuscript and writing new material. He will also host, on Saturday, May 17, a Literary Salon on the topic of Poetry and Nature – mark your calendars!

Life in a Small Praire Town

Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, Sioux City
Jeff Haller will present a program about his photographs of life in a small prairie town at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center on the Missouri Riverfront. Thirty-six of Haller’s photographs are now on exhibition at the Center in “Somewhere in the Middle of America: Life in a Prairie Town.” The show explores Red Cloud, Nebraska, the photographer’s boyhood home and home of writer Willa Cather

Kidsing Festival 2008

Kidsing Festival 2008 will be held at Morningside College's Eppley Auditorium. It includes the Siouxland Youth Choirs, and Choirs from Sioux City, Sioux Center, and Des Moines. Dr. Judith Willoughby from Oklahoma City will be directing the combined choirs.

The Wine Bar and Art Gallery is happy to announce “Live Art and Music” out on the patio this summer. Make sure to come early to get your seat as space is very limited. All “live art” and music start at 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Current hours are Thursday through Saturday, from 5 to midnight or even more so when the open sign is on. Watch for summer hours.
