President Of OU-Tulsa Stepping Down
Levit is stepping down from his job on June 1st to take over as head of the George Kaiser Family Foundation.
Levit made the announcement today in Tulsa.
Levit has served as president of
O-U's Tulsa campus for four-and-a-half years. During that time, enrollment grew 48 percent and the number of faculty members rose 76 percent.
Gerry Clancy will serve as interim president and continue to be the Tulsa campus College of Medicine dean until a new dean is found.
The OU Regents will officially appoint Clancy as interim leader
at their May meeting.
The Kaiser Family Foundation focuses on early intervention through education and health care, social services that serve the impoverished and others in need, and community enhancement.
