About 80 Kaiser Permanente Fresno staff members will honor the legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by packaging and distributing food boxes to need military families and veterans. Officials expect to distribute more 40,000 pounds of food to 700 Valley families in the Manchester Center parking lot on Monday, January 20, 2014. Kaiser Permanente's ShopKP mobile vehicle also will be at the event providing residents with information about health insurance options through the Affordable Care Act. Kaiser Permanente Fresno is partnering with the Community Food Bank and Hands On Central California for this "Day of Service" project.
