The Psychology Club at CSU Bakersfield will be holding a Geocaching event on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the CSUB Alumni Park. The event is open to the public. The cost is $5.00 per team, and teams are not limited in size. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Psychology Club. Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache container hidden at that location. Caches usually contain a logbook or log sheet for participants to log their find. The Psychology Club at CSU Bakersfield is a nonprofit organization, based on the CSUB campus. Though they are called the Psychology Club, all majors are welcome. Their goal is to help students build leadership and communication skills through community service and social events. For more information about the Psychology Club's Geocaching event, please call Nick Smith, Psychology Club President at (661) 912-7595 or send an email to psychologyclub.csub@gmail.com.
