Marwencol Dir: Jeff Malmberg, 2010, USA, 83 min, Not Rated This is the story of Mark Hogancamp, of Kingston, New York, brutally beaten outside a bar in 2000, virtually stripping him of his memory. While recovering over the next decade, he constructs Marwencol, a 1/6 scale miniature WWII-era town filled with doll versions of himself, and people in his life and imagination. He documents his therapeutic town’s own narrative of love, adventure, and revenge through carefully composed photographs. As the walls of his town become less a barrier and more a gateway into his world, Hogancamp finds himself at the threshold of rediscovery. In English with Closed Captions.
