Arts education in Denver is a mixed bag. Opportunities and challenges about, and that's the issue. A strategic plan could improve arts education throughout the Denver school system.

A + Denver is a school reform advocacy organization made up of a cross section of education activists, educators, non-profit, government and business representatives. Their September report is called "Arts Education in Denver: Envisioning Excellence." It includes case studies from L.A., Philadelphia, Portland, Minneapolis, and Dallas, plus notes from arts programs in Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Finland and other nations.

Most interesting are the recommendations. There are none. That's up to public response. They're hoping you will read the report at their website (http://www.aplusdenver.org/) and send in your thoughts.
