Pre-Holiday Storm Will Snarl Early Travelers
(2011-12-21)
(kuvo) - After a clear day with temps in the 40's Denver and the front range will soon see another storm move in tonight through tomorrow afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning which begins at 5pm this evening and lasts until 11am Thursday.

Snow will develop across Denver and the front range early this evening becoming heavy at times overnight before tapering off tomorrow mid day.

Denver, Fort Collins and Castle Rock can expect 4 to 10 inches of snow. The highest snow totals are expected in the western and southern suburbs of the metro area. Foothill locations can expect 8 to 16 inches of snow.
The National Weather Service says commuters should allow extra time to reach your destination thursday morning. Roads will be covered and slippery.

Looking ahead to the weekend, no snow is forecast, and highs should be in the upper 40's with sunny skies.
