Lightning Fires Burning Near Elko
wildfires that started over the weekend in Elko County. A
2,300-acre fire dubbed Rock Creek continues to burn after it was
reported Sunday 20 miles north of Dunphy. No structures are
threatened, and officials say it'll be monitored today. Lightning
is blamed for sparking a fire that's being allowed to burn in the
East Slide Rock Ridge in the Jarbidge Wilderness. At last report,
it was 100 acres.
