Sparks RSCVA Split and Less Lethal Munitions
(2008-08-07)
(KUNR) - The Sparks City Council has voted to consider forming their own tourism and convention agency and breaking away from the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority. Opinions vary widely, but supporters say the RSCVA pays little attention to the Rail City and that Sparks could better market itself as a destination for tourists and conventions. On this edition of Nevada Newsline, host Brian Bahouth takes your calls for a conversation with RSCVA President Ellen Oppenheim and Sparks City Councilman Ron Schmitt. Also this hour, Reno Police used a Tazer and rubber batons to prevent a man from slitting his own throat this week. We chat with Reno P.D. Deputy Chief Jim Johns about the use of Less Lethal Munitions. © Copyright 2009, KUNR
