3 days of foot-stomping bluegrass/folk/gospel music. Friday, 6 p.m. Chuckwagon BBQ and entertainment by Katie Glassman, two-time National Fiddle Champion. Nine bands perform on 2 stages on Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. featuring Hot Club of Cowtown, who walks the line between Gypsy Jazz of Django Reinhardts’s Quintette du Hot Club of France and the western swing of Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys. Also Henhouse Prowlers, playing music inspired by the roots of bluegrass with lighting fast picking to sentimental ballads; along with Katie Glassman & Snapshot. Performances are held in covered amphitheater and indoor "bean barn" with shade, shelter, plenty of seating. This fabulous Music Festival benefits native, non-releasable wildlife. Price includes admission to Wildlife West’s zoo. It’s fun for the entire family! Wildlife West is located just 30 minutes east of Albuquerque. Free parking and RV/tent dry camping.
