New Mexico’s natural beauty and diversity is largely due to its different EcoRegions including the Chihuahuan Desert, Great Basin Grassland and Montane Forest. William W. Dunmire has authored many books on this topic, including New Mexico’s Living Landscapes: A Roadside View. Come learn about what makes this the land of enchantment.

Part of the Bernalillo County Open Space Program’s ‘Naturalist Series.’ Awaken your senses to the natural world around you by observing the wondrous plants and animals in the Bosque and learn from local experts about this extraordinary ecosystem. The series takes place at Bachechi Open Space located at 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. Parking is available at the Alameda parking area. The workshops are FREE; however, space is limited and participations must register. Register online at www.bernco.gov/openspace. Contact Bernco Open Space Program Coordinator Colleen Langan-McRoberts with any questions at 505-314-0398 or calangan@bernco.gov.
